We met the RTFKT team mid-2020, the world didn’t know it yet, but we were just about to hit peak COVID and peak NFT mania. Though the RTFKT team couldn’t have known the former, they seemed keenly aware that NFT’s were the future of digital collectibles (at least in the near term). While the rest of us were just learning about Bored Apes the RTFKT team already had visions for what was three steps ahead, but they needed help, and Polyform was stoked to be at the right place at the right time to be a part of history in the making.

INADVERTENTLY DEFINING THE FUTURE OF HYPEBEAST CULTURE.

Through our Discovery Process we dove deep into video game tropes & mechanics, opportunities to enhance the hype of collecting with AR, and peered into the future of collectibles and digital fashion. Admittedly, the RTFKT crew were years ahead of us, routinely identifying trends that wouldn’t even begin to appear in media or culture for 9-12 months later. With their guidance, we set to task creating a glimpse into the future, at the intersection of everything Hype.

IDEA TO NIKE ACQUISITION IN 18 MONTHS

RTFKT have gone on to become Web3 icons since working with Polyform Studio. The shoes we created for this game went on to earn millions as NFT’s and paved the way for CloneX the NFT project that landed them their acquisition deal with Nike and a place in the NFT hall-of-fame as the GOAT. The RTFKT team continues to break boundaries as Nike’s newest house brand.
